Its scary guys. I left Nehru place at around 6 pm, and most probably was very near GK1 when the blasts occur. Only came to know about them at 6:45pm, when I got home. As of now all friends and relatives seem to be fine.

But yes this is really scary. I was like 2 km from one of the blast sites in GK, I live hardly 3km from another one, and my dad was barely 1 km from the CP site.

Relieved to know that you are safe bhai Shashank I was trying to call you but the network is jammed. My daughter was returning from work at office in Okhla and luckily passed GK-I just before the blast.

Thank God, Jyotiji - on NDTV Barkha Dutt is the anchorwoman and she is saying just ten minutes back they don't know the full extent of casualties in Palika Bazaar, but not looking good. (For those who don't know, it is a fully enclosed underground market in Connaught Place area)

Thank you so much Aishah ji. A blast at the entrance to the metro station in CP would have been catastrophic

All the markets are closing down now. I can say that for patel nagar market atleast. Police personal came on round and asked the shopkeepers to head home, just to make sure that there is no vandalism, as some antisocial elemst might take advantage as police is busy eleseware. And anyhow, they would not have done any business this weekend now.

Glad to see at least some Delhi IMers here and ok.

I heard and read the Palika Bazaar thing too.

Unconfirmed reports on NDTV 2 live bombs being defused in/around the high security zone.. India Gate mentioned.

Delhi police quoted again about cellphone jammers used in Connaught Place.

Shashank - I'm relieved you are fine, as well as others from Delhi here,(it's impossible to ring through to Delhi now - I've tried several times to contact friends but on both BSNL and Airtel getting 'All lines busy' message ) are streets becoming deserted now and people keeping to their homes?
