It's a pity, a waste of time and searchpower (but they probably didn't know about the temple close to Rishikesh) that Australian Embassy people went to Goa for the search.

Does anybody know what happened with the follow-up to Indira's alleged sighting of Ryan in Goa? i.e embassy/police report conclusions? It might help to get the location logistics & physical descriptions of Indira & Daydream Believer on the same page. Possibly there is Ryan lookalike or maybe he's managed to slip through the 'search cracks' all this time in that laid-back Holiday Pradesh.

peak, i'm trying the follow the chronology here, but couldn't seem to find the indira posts from which you quoted. it seems there are two or more threads going on this. just wondered how long ago that siting was and what's happened since then (which, apparently, you're trying to find out too).

Tacita, some of it appears to have been deleted ..... and questioned. These sightings appeared, IMO, to be similar though.
So in case it has slipped peoples minds due to time & the length of this thread - thought I would post a reminder of it.

I've just called a friend who runs a bar in Vagator & he is going to put up the info and put the word out.

Getting closer... If we can find the guy we can identify him.

it appears from a page or two ago that ryan's brothers were going to india in late february, and for just a few weeks, no? any word from them? have any IMers met up with them? would they not now be home? presumably, if they learned anything new, they'd have posted it here, i suppose...

Sorry, my fault for the confusion. I asked Daydream Believer to post her news on the Goa thread only. Then I later thought that more people would see it on the original thread.

This is a recent sighting- Jan/Feb 2008. (Indira's 2 1/2 years ago did not come to anything.) If anyone else has contacts in the area who may be able to confirm identity this would be great.

Is anyone in North Goa at the moment? Or does anyone have any other contacts there? I'm trying to get the missing person information to a bar owner in Vagator, but he doesn't have e-mail of his own, and I'm not sure the e-mail I sent to one of his regulars has got through. It would be great if someone could take the poster, photos, and description to him.

Once I know he has it then he'll get looking, as well as being able to be a meeting point for other people I've been trying to contact who doesn't have e-mail.

I've been really ill, and was bedridden for over a week, but I'm better now, and back on the case.

Still need someone who can help with a couple of hours of their time in North Goa? *hopeful* Trying to get some information (or confirm that they've got the info I sent) to someone who runs a bar in Vagator.

The Goa "sighting" was never confirmed although we had authorities and other people looking. Posters were placed in the area. We now have over 1800 members on the Facebook group below, most of whom are in India or are NRIs around the world. There may be many others here who are not members. All we are asking for people to join and send it on to others and ask them to do the same. Remember the film "Pay it Forward" with Kevin Spacey?
We think this is the best way to get the information around India.
