I have emailed Coke as well! I tell so many people about this fantastic web site and encourage them to follow this thread. I really believe that spreading the word like this is not only offering comfort to so many involved , but it's uniting many from all over the world, in the search for Ryan.
Dear God, please, please bring Ryan home safely.

Dear IMers,
Fantastic news. Coca Cola India has agreed to send Ryan's poster to all 2000+ outlets in Uttaranchal, the state in which Rishikesh is located. I am sure the support of all IMers and their extended contacts has helped no end. Thank you all again. We will keep you up to date with news but in the meantime drink Coke, the real thing !!!

Awesome news guys, very impressed! Also the only chain mail (stating to leave a request on coke's website) i've ever passed on, and by the sounds of things it was passed a very long way by all, even those who dont know ryan. I received it from dog-loads of different people. Here's hoping one of the posters finds the crazy kid or someone who can find him. In the meantime im gona do my bit, and drink some scotch with COKE. Hang in there all you Chamberses, he'll be ok.... until everyone gets stuck into him when he's back!

Just came across this thread while starting to explore IM.

Jock & Di, Aaron & Jarrod - keep you spirirts up, because there are that many good people looking for Ryan that he is bound to be found before too much longer, even if he isn't yet ready to be found. Once he's found then we will all celebrate his safe return to your fold, but in the meantime we will all keep doing everything we can to hasten that day. I'm planning a trip to India in the near future, and I hope that he is back to you by then, but if not then I will join in the search.

After 9/11 I wandered for a while without keeping in touch with my family. They knew that I was in pain after that day, and that there was little that they or anyone could do for me - I just needed some space to get my head around what happened, and now I'm closer to them than I have been for a long time. Sometimes we all just need some space to reassess.

Thanks for your thoughts and support psfb. If Ryan isn't back by the time you go to India it would be much appreciated if you could print and distribute copies of the missing poster we have created whever you go. When the time comes, you can find a link to the poster in this thread or contact us and we will send you a copy.

Thanks again.
Aaron

Interesting post, psfb, and perhaps a unique viewpoint. Others reading this thread who may not have read your contributions to other threads will not realise that you were actually in the World Trade Centre at the time.

Nick, for more than two years I thought that I was one of the unlucky ones because I survived, but after doing a RTW in 2004 it changed my perspective on things a little because I got to see that people in places like India and Egypt have a lot less than me but they are happy. Four years on I am slowly starting to come to terms with what happened that day, but we'll never forget those we lost.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers jyoti and for taking an interest in this situation. It's much appreciated by myself and the rest of the family and is a great boost and support to us.

Cheers,

This guy has been missing for months. Can't the Aussie mission in India push the Indian government to do more to locate this guy?

Quite correct in this case. When I was in Rishikesh, we had downstream Ganges checked twice and local hospitals also although there is nothing to suggest Ryan has been victim of foul play or harm has come to him. Or that he meant to harm himself. He was fleeing from something, not actually seeking to "find himself" as some have suggested. However, if he has found solace with someone as we believe, then we will find him. This is where Coca Cola and Rotary come in to it. By saturating the areas around Rishikesh, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Mussorie with posters advertising Ryan's photograph and the reward for finding him safe, we will find him. The police just do not have enough resources to do what these groups and others who are searching can achieve.

The Indian gov should have and be able to pull up records of him registering in any guest house as all foreigners need to register. They can also make our lazy police round up some of the known crooks and probe them for info. The police have lists of suspected evil doers in every area. They can have the local media put up pictures and post info on him. I sincerely hope you find him and I am praying for you in my mandir for him. There are so many young people missing in India over the past 14 years but hardly any have been found alive thanks to the incompetence and corruption of my countrys government. Had this been the UK, US or Australia the whole country would be on the lookout for him within a week.

God Bless
Ravi

If anyone has contacts with this guys family or friends please ask them to post several pictures of him online and on IM even without the beard. Sometimes it is hard to recognise anyone from one picture. More always helps.
