calm down hyderabad lion. i know emotions are a bit raw at the moment. we will have anarchy if every citizen is given the right to kill.

lets think about the victims right now....my heads there in the hospitals, with the injured and critical..lets pray or send our vibes of healing there~

Thats true man but this sort of very very soft attitude of Govt leads to more dreadful consequences.

Right said that we will have anarchy if every citizen is given the right to kill "terrorists" but that power ought to be given to police and army if we want our people live peacefully.

Thank god that did not happen in America after 9/11.

While it is true the US has Gitmo -- and Ann Coulter etc., I can't even imagine the chaos inherent in your suggestion.

"shoot on sight"? Is that what you mean? violence breeds more violence. had enough of that here when people were getting beat up just for looking "A-rab".

yes sher~...i understand where y're coming from~..and in the past we have seen committees, inquiries, and what not leading nowhere but to some report in a file condemned to some corner shelf in some dark room in a government building!~

...anyway i am not thinking about that right now...i just hope the injured and critical get treatment..as we mourn the dead...

Oh come on... it is bad enough that the police have this power.

How many terrorists have been shot in London?

Well, one innocent man is dead and another injured......

I don't think people can ever live peacefuly under an oppressive state regime. Who's next? You? Me? All the Muslims in the town? All the Hindus?

And here in India this would lead only to witch hunts and mob rule.

I am very, very sad for India today, for the dead and injured people, for their families and friends.

But let us hope there is not a backlash, based on rumour or less.

There's a thing somebody wrote, can't remember it all, but enough to give the gist of it:

They came for Jews. I wasn't a jew, so I kept quiet.
They came for the Muslims. I wasn't a muslim, so I kept quiet
They came for the Hindus. I wasn't a Hindu, so I kept quiet
... ...
Then they came for me, and there was nobody left to speak up.

This is a tradgedy so far. Let there be peace.

nick..someone has to go after the baddies?..if not the police who? intelligence?..the brainwashed minions do nothing..nail the mastermind~...

you say peace all the time, and you get hammered all the time,..at some point there will be retaliation..yes agree about witchhunts and going on rumours but i am talking about the ones with concrete evidence...or when groups claim ownership for such stuff...you cant talk peace to such 'groups'

anyway..i dont want to talk about this at this moment. emotions are too raw right now.

<bowing out for the moment>

I know it's very frustrating... but a "shoot on sight" policy is not the answer. In London it has led to death of an innocent man and injured another, sparking demonstrations by the Muslim Community. It has overshadowed all the good work the police have done to prevent further attacks.

Police and Military Intelligence play key roles in preventing terrorism. Let's urge them to do more.
Civilians can help a great deal by being vigilant.

Ohh one innocent got killed ! Its not fair to think so bcoz thousands of innocents are being killed by the terrorists and in order to save many if some got killed its not a big deal.

I think 1000s > 10s

This is utterly appalling. I have nothing else to say at this point.

I think 1000s > 10s

Sorry I disagree. I value 1 life the same as 10s even 1000s.
There are better ways to stop terrorists than shoot every1 that you suspect.
We have fought long and hard for civil rights... I am not prepared to live in a police state because of terrorists.
That would be giving them what exactly what they want... they want you to fear, to feel vulnerable, to lose faith in your government and way of life.
