would love some advice- leaving Sept 22

i have been reading on this site for months and months trying to tweak my itinerary and still need just a little advice/reality check for the 2nd half of my trip. Any is appreciated.

1) I will leave rishikech area Oct 26 or so and need to be in Goa Nov 9th.
What route would you recommend/ Should I fly into Goa or even kerala and make my way up to Goa or make my way down via train? I am really stumped by this. Stops you would recommend along the way if I take the train?

After the training in Goa I will have from Nov 23 to Nov 29th to make it up to Mumbai where I will fly out Nov 29th. I think I may check out Hampi first and then take the train back to Mumbai via Goa. Sounds like the Express is the best way to go to see the scenery- what do you think? Sounds like I should make reservations ASAP..????

Don't need to make reservations for the end of Oct. ASAP. There's a special foreigner ticket counter at the train stations in the major cities in India. Like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. You can do it when in Delhi if you like.

If you take the train down to Goa the most logical route to go as a tourist and to see a few things along the way is through Rajasthan. There's alot to see there.It's a very well traveled tourist path. Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur,etc. are all on the way down south towards Goa.

And do go to Hampi!
