Winter Vacations in North India
Hi IMer's
Greeetings! Just wanted to bother you guys tell us about a winter vacation destination. We intend to go for the vacation from 21st Dec to 3rd Jan 2008 and in north India. Got kids aged 12 and 9, self driving, Maruti Esteem, belong to mussoorie and would start from Gurgaon. Okay all said and done, experienced mountain driver, visited chardham (3 times), dharam shala (2 times), manali (5 times)and on business virtually on the globe. Just if you guys could help me finding a good destination for 15 days, i "sorry" we would highly appreciate your inputs for a cool, may be snowfall winter vacation this year. Thought of going to leh from delhi but the flight operators say, that they are not sure whether they would fly during those times or not. we would prefer a plan where we can drive and have a good time. any input is welcome best wishes vg and family o |

You would be able to drive till Joshimath only on the way to Auli, from there by cable car to Auli.
