Where is the Finest Mountain View We Can Get To In Mid March

Specs:
Trip: 2/22-3/15
Arrive/Depart: Deli
Mom (55) and Daughter (19)
First Time To India / Excited!!
Have Traveled Europe, Egypt/No Tour/Independent
Budget: Medium-High
Preliminary Plan: Deli/Agra/Jaipur/Jodhpur/Udaipur/Amristar/Need Help here

Will have 3 or 4 days (March 11-14) from Amristar heading to the Mountains.

WHERE IN YOUR OPINIONS WOULD BE THE FINEST MOUNTAIN VIEW???

I know 3 or 4 days from Amristar is not much time considering travel time. Would be willing to fly if it was an option. I was looking at Dalhousie and Dharamshala, but I really don’t have a clue and the books can only give so much. It is wonderful to have a network where you can get real advise. Thank you for your help.

Thank you!
Betty

Id recommend Daramshala/McLeod Ganj. Its easy to get to from Amritsar and a 12 hour bus ride down to Delhi. Beautiful views especially from Daramkhot and Triund. Visibility and weather are both good in March.

I passed through Dalhousie on my way to Chamba, it seems pleasant but seeing as you are restricted time wise i would pick Mcleod Ganj or nearby Dharamkot or Bhagsu and use your 4 days to explore the surrounding forests and beautiful mountain views. In my opinion much nicer then Dalhousie. Of course it's also the home of His Holiness The Dalai Lama and a large Tibetan community. Definitely worth it!!!
