"What to do" 5-6 days in Ladakh!

Hi!

Me and my cousin will be studiying in India next semester. Before we start our course we thought it would be cool to take a short trip too New Delhi and Ladakh/Leh.

We Have our Delhi part of the trip covered, but we have rather little knowledge og Ladakh and Kashmir in general, other than the fantastic scenery ! We got only 5, maybe 6 days in Ladakh and therefore we need some advice on what to prioritize!

Some advice on good places to stay would also be helpfull

We will be in Ladakh from 15th to 20/21th august!

Do we have to buy the plane-tickets in advance or is this something we can do when we arrive in Delhi, about 3-4 days before we plan to go!

Hope someone can help

Hi,
If you go to Leh by Air you require nearly two days for acclimatizations and then you can plan to go around the place. Hire a vehicle and go to Tso Moriri or Pangong Tso and to Khardung la. On the way you can visit the Gompas.
best is to move by road to Leh from Manali and move out by Air. Do the Air booking in advance.
