Verifying Travel Agents

I've received quotes from two travel agencies in India and would like to know if anyone has ever heard of or worked with them. Just to ensure there is no scam.

The companies are:
Compass Tours
Pragema Travels

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't know the word or name Pragema, but what's the betting there is more than one 'Compass' Tours in India?

Please tell us addresses.

It's a shot in the dark, there being so many agents, but someone might know them

Thanks Nick,

Here are the addresses:

Pragema Travels Pvt. Ltd.
A-32/L, 1st Floor, Opposite Una Enclave,
Patparganj, Mayur Vihar Phase-I,
New Delhi-110091 (India)

COMPASS INDIA INC - The Hospitality Managers
1st Floor, F - 12,
Main Street,
Kalkaji,
New Delhi - 110 019

They have both been great in terms of putting together an itinerary that suits my needs, but I just want to avoid any potential difficulties.

Hi oishiisan12,

We have also negotiated a trip through Rajasthan with Compas Tours - the same company as you mentioned. I have found them to exceptional professional and quick to respond. However, our holiday starts in November so I cannot comment on their actual services.

We have worked with Durjay at Compass thru 4 trips and been exceedingly happy with the service. They are quick to respond and very accomodating and professional.

air france

If only they were as good as compass. I am still passing through Paris, up in the middle of the night, 6 hour delay in Miami missed my flight to Chennai, now I go through Bangalore (with a 6 hour layover). Will get to Chennai Saturday morning after leaving Orlando Wednesday morning. Anything to do in the middle of the night in Bangalore????

My condolences, that is really ugly. Six hours in the middle of the night in Bangalore does not sound fun. Hopefully there will be some shops open. They have a good bookstore that sells paperback books not yet available in US. Also Cafe Coffee Day has wonderful iced strawerry drinks.

Good Luck

Air France sucks

Not only were no shops open, but AF did not authorize my Jet airways ticket to Chennai, so I had to pay $200 for it, they truly abandoned me.

What did AF have to say for themselves? Are you set to forward a complaint? I only used them once but would be hesitant to try again as I felt lucky to have gotten out of CDG without having permanently gotten caught into their maze.

Glad you're on your way, your trip will be great.
