Vacationing spots during summer

We finally relocated to India Last November and are overall glad with the move. We had relocated to Hyderabad, the kids are well settled in their school and daycare, myself and spouse adjusting to our jobs here.

We had a lot of help in settling down, but am overall amazed with the speed with which we have settled down, we have moved into a nice rental place, have a phone and gas connection. Yet to get the broadband mostly because we are staying on the city outskirts, the househeld help has been pretty reliable until now (keeping my fingers crossed :-)

I am about to plan our first vacation in summer and was wondering if folks had any suggestions. We would like to mostly take it easy, a few touristy spots, mostly relaxing, maybe for a week. I am leaning towards some hill stations like Simla, Darjeeling, Kulu-Manali etc. Is there a website that compare these different hill stations for their facilities, kid friendliness, things to do etc.
