Trying again...re: BIAL nearby lodging

Hey, IMers!

No luck posting this in the Bangalore section. Maybe here?

ANY ideas for lodging NEAR to the new Bangalore Airport? There was supposed to be a hotel right at the airport, to open in November, but...surprise...the opening date has been delayed.

I need a place for Christmas night, as the flight out is at some awful early morning hour on Boxing Day.
Or should i look for a manger?

Their is no hotels close by to the new BIA at the moment.

Thanks for the reply, Kumar. I was afraid what you wrote would be the case.

There used to be a Mount View Guest House in the same town (Devanahalli) as the airport, but perhaps it's fallen victim to the wrecking ball, as there's no current info about it.

Supposedly there will be Volvo Bus Shuttles set up from different points in the city, to transport people en masse to the new airport.

The whole thing sounds like something that should have been better thought out befort the airport opened/ There were delays on that too --but supposedly it's happening next week?????
