Trivandrum airport to Kollam?

Hi,

What's the best (and safest - I'll be traveling alone) way to get from the Trivandrum airport to Kollam? Do the pre-paid taxis go this far? And approximately how much would such a trip cost?

Any advice much appreciated - thank you!

The best and safest would be to catch a taxi or auto to the Tvm railway station and then catch a train (1 hour). Train frequency is quite decent. There are also buses from the airport that touch Kollam, may not be advisable if you have lots of luggage. Pre-paid taxis wouldn't go to Kollam.

You have plenty of trains from Trivandrum to Kollam it takes only one hour or so and the airport is not very far from town. I did this same trip last July.
