Traveling from Bangalore to Thekkady - is it safe to travel during the protests?
Hi,
I am planning to travel from Bangalore to Thekkady by road with family around December 17th. I was planning to travel Salem-Karur-Dindigul route into Thekkady. Is it safe to take that route while the dam protests are going on? I heard that they are not allowing vehicles to enter Kerala from TN border. Is there an alternate route that I could take?

Makes more sense to google phone numbers/information about bus companies/travel operators and ask them directly?

You may want to postpone your trip to Thekkady as it's the epicentre of the ongoing issues/processions etc . If you can't avoid, do Bangalore-Mysore-Gundlupet-Gudalur-Nilambur-Thrissur-Thekkady route which is peaceful but yes it's circuitous.
Best is to postpone your trip.
