Travel Itinerary - Shimla Manali 09

Hi Guys,
I am on a budget trip to shimla and Manali in October. I would like to know how the weather is going to be.
Below is how my Itinerary looks: Let me know your feedback

3-Oct Saturday Reach Kalka 3.45pm
4-Oct Sunday Kalka To Simla - Toy train 4am 9.15am In and around Simla
5-Oct Monday Simla Tour 10.30am 6.30pm "Shimla - Fagu - Matiana - Narkanda & back - Rs. 245/-per seat. HPTDC bus stand"
6-Oct Tuesday Simla to Manali 8.30am 5.30pm Rs. 450/-per seat. (Non AC)HPTDC bus stand (8-9 hours of travel time)
7-Oct Wednesday Rothang Tour 10am 5pm Manali - Kothi- Rahla Fall- Rohtang Pass & back Rs. 250/-per seat HPTDC bus stand(Car recommended)
8-Oct Thursday Naggar-Solang Tour 10am 5pm Manali - Naggar - Solang & back Rs. 200/- per seat. HPTDC bus stand
9-Oct Friday In Manali Leave for Chandigarh in the evening (Travel time - 9 hours)
10-Oct Saturday Chandigarh 11am

I still have not figured out where I would be staying. Any assistance there would be great. I tried Appleview guest house but it seems to be occupied. Is October a peak season time?
