Travel cost in Bhutan in Dec - Jan

Hi All,

I am planning to visit Bhutan from Dec 26 to Jan 7th. I will be traveling alone and flying into Paro.

I have been talking to a few tour operators in Bhutan and the rates I have got from them are 6000 per night and 5000 per night (for slightly lower standard accommodations).

I am wondering if anyone traveling around the same time has got a better rate or was able to make independent arrangements for stay, food and travel at a better price. Any pointers or contact information of agents/operators who can help me lower the cost is most appreciated.

The cost you are telling is exorbitant. I have travelled earlier at much cheap rate. I have gone with Safar Leisure Consultancy. They have office at Kolkata, Alipurduar and Thimpu.
