Hi, We are going from Mumbai to Goa and then from there I want to go to Nagarhole park for a safari. It's been suggested to take a 1 hour plane to Bangalore and then drive for 5 hours. This sounds ridiculous to me. I'd rather take a train so that my friend, who's never been to India can experience that and I'm hoping that it will be direct or as direct as it can be in india... can you help please??? thank you!

Train 6345 departs Madgaon daily at 22:40 and gets to Kannur (Cannanore) at 07.05 (2A, 3A, SL.) Kannur looks to be about 85kms from Nagarhole. Train 6345 also calls at other stations in north/south Goa.

Take a train to Mangalore on the Konkan Railway (great) and then the Mangalre - Bangalore Express via Mysore, spend a day at the royal city of Mysore and then to nagarhole! ![]()
