Time at Mumbai Airport

I am travelling back to UK in June and flight leaves Goa 2pm and check in to the UK flight is not until 02.45 next day, is there any courtesy rooms at airport or close by hotel or anywhere to leave luggage safe and take a tour of downtown area any advice please.

There is a left luggage office outside the international terminal - or at least it was there in January, when there were all those works going on.
