Taj Mahal on a FRIDAY??
Just heard thru the grapevine that visiting the Taj Mahal on a Friday can be very very very busy......please advise...thanks.

Taj Mahal is closed for visitors on Friday, earlier it used to be free on Friday so there was a lot of rush and then they decided to close it on friday. Check their official website

You cannot visit Taj Mahal as a tourist on Friday. Its closed for all visitors, local or international, on Friday; in stead local muslim people offer namaaz here on that day.

It does occasionally open on a Friday, and may even be free of charge when it does! When we were there in early August, it was free on both Friday and Saturday due to an anniversary.
