Suggestions please
Hi
Please could I have suggestions for spending a week in India mid August. Ideally shouldn't be too hot, too busy but have enough to keep an active 10 year old entertained. My flight options are (in order of pref) - Chennai, Delhi or Mumbai. I guess the beaches are going be too hot? Thinking about Himachel Pradesh but fear will be too boring for a 10 yr old boy. grateful for suggestions. thanks joe |

August in Chennai shouldn't be too hot.
I'd like to say that the temperature is dropping now, but last time I said that, in early July, it shot back up again to May/June levels  .How about a Kerala Snake Boat Race? I forget if it is 1st or 2nd Saturday in August, but the Allepey Nehru Trophy race is quite a spectacle. Kerala will be cooler than Chennai, but wetter. You may experience severe rain, but it won't be all or every day.
