HI ,

This is indeed a very tight schedule,I will suggest you to drop Mussoorie as its a bit far from rishikesh say abt 2 hrs drive and then there is nothing much to do there if u just intend to be there for a couple of hrs.

As per my experience i can suggest you stay at haridwar spent a day there visit Har ki Podi [ the ghat where ganga arti takes place in the evening].

DAY 2; leave by 9 am for rishikesh and then visiting the ashrams and laxman jula if time permits then you can go to mussoorie or else get back to haridwar. If you are interested in water rafting there are many groups who organise these adventure sports.

Day 3:after breakfast leave for Vrindavan ,Its a journey abt 5-6 hrs by road.I would suggest you to make vrindavan as your base and book a room in vrindavan in a ashram as it can be very pocket friendly and moreover as it is in centre of the other places that you will want to visit. You can visit the local temples like Niji van , Bake bihari temple ,iskon temple.AThere are many many ashrams and temples to visit but since you are short of time i have suggested the ones that are NOT to be missed.

Day 4: morning still you can visit some more temples and ashrams of vrindavan and in the afternoon leave for mathura.Visit the lord krishna birth place temple . Give atleast about 2 hrs for this temple as security check will take a lot of time.
In the evening take part in Yamuna arti at Vishram ghat.Return back to vrindavan at night.

Day 5:If you are a Krishna devotee then i am sure you will like to visit Jatipura for the govardhan parikrama. You will have to leave at about 6 in the morning from vrindavan for jatipura its at about a drive of 1-1.5 hrs.on arriving in jatipura do the darshan of mukharvind and then proceed for parikrama.I would suggest you to take cycle rickshaw for parikrama as you dont have time to reat for another day if you do it walking. In the nighat return to vrindavan.

Day 6 : leave early morning at about 6 for agra.Travel time of 2-3 hrs from vrindavan.Spend the entire day admiring taj and be back to vrindavan.

day 7:Leave for mathura junction and board a train for gujrat.

All the best and enjoy your trip.

Hi KTD,

There must be surely lots of private buses and cabs available though i am not too sure about the buses. The trains available from haridwar to mathura are as follows

train no name of train timings

18478 kalingautal exp 6.00am reaches at 14.30

14310 ujjaiyani exp 7.43am reaches at 15.55

There is one more train but i dont have its details, but that train is not that useful as it takes a travel time of abt 15 hrs and that is too long.

Regards

Kunal.

If it's true that we are here to help others, then, what exactly are the others here for?
