Suggest CharDham yatra Itinerary

Hi All,
We are 6 family members me(26yrs),my mom,dad(around 55 yrs) and my cousin(25), and his mom dad(around 60yrs) planning to go on CharDham yatra in first week of October this year.
We have 12 days after reaching Haridwar to get back to Mumbai.
Also we want to cover Haridwar,Rishikesh and especially Kedar,BadriNath and Gangotri, Yamunotri.
We want to hire any vehicle(Innova/Qualis/Tavera etc.) from Haridwar and visit all the places.

To do confortable budget and economy journey i need ur valuable advice on following things:

1. How much it will charge for Vehicle for 10 days for 6 people?
2. Where we should stay on the way in our journey?
3. What all things we should keep with us other than regular baggage like blanket or torch etc.??
4. Will ICICI ATM available in the journey??
5. Should we book hotels prior to rearch there or on the spot??
Also what are general hotel/lodge/Ashram charges to stay per night /person?
6. What are charges for Kundi/Palki for our Mom/Dad in Yamnotri/Kedarnath??
7. Any especial medicine that is needed there like cold related ??
8. Please provide me any tour and travel agent ph numbers whom u think is genuine to take vehicle from Haridwar or Rishikesh.

9.Also please provide me any good lodge/Ashram details to stay in Haridwar because initial 1-2 days we will stay in Haridwar and visit Rishikesh also.

Is 10-12 days sufficient for the comfortable travel( keeping in mind that we are travelling with our parents for chardham in winter season) or i should make some changes in the plan.

Last and final thing i want to know is according to you how much this tour will cost me including Travelling(Vehicle) from Haridwar till we reach to Haridwar after visiting all the places + Hotel Rooms + Lunch/Dinner/Breakfast etc.
so that i will be ready with that much budget.

Any other suggestions / advice is welcome to make our journey a pleasant memory.

some answers.
2) on way and at destinations you will find many all budget hotels. no need to worry as it is off season. can get good rooms between 250-400
3) carry all that is important and required to you & yr family. but can carry some dry fruits, glucose, medicines,
4)SBI ATM will available
5) already answered this above

7) normal medicines.
8) no reference, always go on my BULL
9) , some other IMer will help
in 12 days it can be done in cab, but 1 extra day recommended
cost depend upon person to person, some need mineral water at the height of 14000 ft some enjoy stream water.

Have seen PNB and SBI ATMs even in Badrinath. Srinagar also has ATMs. Cash withdrawal should not be a problem, although it's best to be a little bit stacked up....I had ended up earlier in a situation where my extended family was there, and the ATM was there, and the cash was there in my account..but Alas.....

btw.. as someone mentioned, October is going to be a bargain in terms of hotel and transport rates.

Thanks a lot for ur inputs. Surely this info will make my journey more joyful....I have 1 query left ..like as soon as i get down at Haridwar which Aashram/Trust/Dharmshala is better to stay for 2 days so that we will take rest , visit temples in Haridwar and then move for our most awaited CharDham yatra...Please provide the ph. nos. if possible....

Don't bother with reservations at this time. The place is full of pillows (clean or not - check please)to rest your head. Just go ahead. Have a nice trip.

i am vikram from dehradun and i am very much aware about the char dham yatra..
you can easily make it possible in 10 days.
and about taxi -- you will get taxi around 17,000rs to 22,000rs it depends which cab you look for ,,sumo or scorpio.. tavera and in that amount everyting will be included (fuel+fare+driver expences).. you have enough time manage the things.. have a nice journey...

Thanks everybody...It was a wonderful journey...one can not imagine, the places are so beautiful, before going there..apart from that it was not crowded much so we could have get the proper Darshan in every temple.I took complete 11 days from Haridwar to Haridwar..with having rest whenever required with my family...
