Spices, healing herbs, Amma's ashram, beaches, environmental education - please help!

Hello you lovely people!

I'd like to visit the South, especially Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa. Dec-Jan-Feb 06-07 for about 8 weeks.

I'm a trainee homoeopath and cook. I'm also currently creating workshops for kids on climate change, in which it'd be great to do a cultural exchange with schoolkids in India.

Would love itinerary ideas and tips that will help me indulge myself and my budding doctor spirit in terms of the plant life and also lay foundations for the workshop idea. Plus a little lying on beaches and a stop off to hug Amma!

I love: mangoes, avocados, cardamom, cinnamon, sandalwood, pepper, cayenne, turmeric, cloves, garlic, ginger...!

Wow - all help much appreciated

Hannah

...but you'll have to come in the summer for mangos I'm afraid

As someone else has just commented in another thread, if you want to see Amma here you will have to check the dates, as she is travelling for a great deal of the year. That would be the pivot point of your itinerary.

Otherwise, I think you will have to give us more of a clue as to which cities and places you'd like to see. You could do just about everything you want to do in Kerala only!
