Shirdi - Goa

Train 2780 departs Kopargaon daily at 11:00 and gets to Madgaon at 05:40

2-tier air con = Rs 1208
3-tier air con = Rs 872
Sleeper Class = Rs 330 (not air con)

Kopargaon is about 13kms from Shirdi.

(for those interested, A new rail line is being built to Shirdi, I think from Kopargaon)

Goa - Bangalore

Yesvantpur is about 6 km north of central Bangalore, trains and buses connect Yesvantpur with the Brigade Road/M G Road and Central Bangalore areas.

Direct trains between Goa and Bangalore run only 3 days a week.

Train 7310 (Mondays & Saturdays) Madgaon 21:20, Bangalore (Yesvantpur) 11:00.

Train 7312 (Thurdays only) Madgaon 15:20, Bangalore (Yesvantpur) 05:00.

2A = Rs 1013
3A = Rs 726
SL = Rs 268

In case Train tickets from Kopargaon to Goa are not available, there is a Paulo travels, Volvo bus from Aurangabad to Goa Via Ahmednagar.
I think from Ahmednagar it leaves at 6- 6.30 Pm.
Shirdi to Ahmednagar is 85 Km. Lots of buses are available.

Thank you very much for the replies. I appreciate your time. We found that flight journey saves time and costs a little bit more money. so we are opting for that.

what is the distance between shirdi and Aurangabad? How much time will it take? How frequently do we ge the buses?

Thanks again,
Indian.

Indian.
Shirdi -Aurangabad is about 100 -110 Km. There are a lot of state road corp. buses. You may also find a few private luxury buses depending on your time of dep. It should take 3 to 3.5 hrs. by bus.
There is a new highway under construction. Buses are likely to use it. In that case time taken may be much less.

I'll let you investigate the following, but it's interesting.

Jagson list a direct flight from Shirdi to Mumbai, daily (except Tuesday) and twice a day.

HOWEVER....I've searched for availability for about 20 different dates and had no luck (and no indication of the reason why, could be there isn't a flight), and strangely, each time I enter a date and search, the date automatically changes.

A quick search of their website indicates they have flights to places not listed, they don't have flights to places they do list, and Pondicherry, I don't know why they have thrown Pondicherry details into their website, the closest they fly to Pondi is Pune.

A search of their website will be good practice for India.

Good luck, I've a feeling you'll find yourself on the phone to India trying to get details, maybe an e-mail will work, either way, If you get more details, please let me know.
