Cool shirdi-bhandardara

hello all,

I am planning a trip to shirdi and bhandardara/lonavala during 9-11 oct. This is what I am planning:

Day 1(thurs): early morning (5-5:30) leave from mumbai for shirdi by car. Reach shirdi around 1-2pm. Have darshan and spend time in shirdi. Leave for bhandardara late evening. Stay overnight at bhandardara.

Day 2: visit peak and ratnagad fort ( dont' know about how feasible it is to reach without guidance). Stay overnight at bhardardara.

Day 3: visit dam and other places nearby. Leave for mumbai later afternoon. Reach mumbai by night.

Other itinerary could be go to lonavala/khandala instead of bhandardara. But being a long weekend and Dusshehra , may be lonavala would be crowded. Otherwise travelwise it would be more or less same.
In that case we will stay overnight first day at shirdi and leave next morning for lonavala.

Please let me know which one is better itinernary and any other near by places which can be covered in this time, or any other comments.

Another thing , how much time it will take in shirdi , being a thurday and Dushera holiday also.

Thanks

I had been to Bhandardhara from Shirdi in July and it was mindblowing. Nature at its best.

However it takes @3.5-4 hours drive from Shirdi to Bandardhara and this route is also beautiful.

My advice is to stay at Shirdi for first night and leave for Bandardhara the next day morning.

Good luck
