It is possible to catch the Shatabdi Express train in Delhi,6h50, towards Haridwar, with the arrival of the flight to New Delhi at 5h25?
What is the best and fastest way to link the airport-train station?
The final destination is Gangotri, "soon as possible."
Thanks to all

No. Not enough time. Give yourself two hours to get out of the airport after arrival immigration and customs desks.
What is the best and fastest way to link the airport-train station? The airport NDLS metro train. Check http://www.delhimetrorail.com/. The claimed time is only 18 minutes for this distance
The final destination is Gangotri, "soon as possible." Check http://erail.in/?T=MXH::JU: for other possible options

thanks for the info and suggestions ...
I've done a search for other trains and it seems to me that the 2nd of October and like the Shatabdi Express only have the option Jan Shatabdi at 15:15.
Trains are the same?
CC means chair with ac?
In your opinion what would be the best option?
Thank you for the valuable guidance ..

unfortunately you have virtually no chance of catching the 06.50 Shatabdi, there is another shatabdi train in the afternoon at 15.15, if you arrive on a Wednesday or a thursday the ujjaini express is an option departing at 11.30 (from Nizamuddin station) and arriving at 16.47.
There are also flights to jolly grant airport at 10.15 jet airways and 10.40 Kingfisher, the flight takes 1 hour and jolly grant airport is less than an hours drive from Haridwar.
Did a random search for dates next month and the fares were £43 on Jet and £51 on Kingfisher.

wow. you posted while I was typing on oct 2nd ind ddn exp is a possibility which has the same timings as the ujjaini exp that I mentioned above (2ac slp or 3ac) although all classes are waitlisted. Cheapest flight I found on 02/10 was Kingfisher at £51 dep 10.40 arr 11.40.

CC means chair with ac? - yes that is true.
In your opinion what would be the best option? - since you're arriving at an odd hour, if you're open to taking a bus, we can discuss that, the rajasthan state buses run from bikaner house at India gate. Check here for ticket options: rsrtc.gov.in. It will save you about 5 hours of waiting for the Jan Shatabdi - assuming you can take the bus around 11 am. It is more expensive though. The UP state buses have recently moved to Anand Vihar - again, you can take a metro to this point but i have no clue on bus quality.
Otherwise, if you're OK with the wait, stick to the train - it will be definitely more comfortable.

Jan Satabdi and Satabdi are not same. Jan Satabdi has a lower non AC class where as Satabdi is full AC. There is no difference in running time. Ujjain express starts from Ujjain so might get delayed in arriving at Delhi. I do not think buses from Bikaner house go to Haridwar. There are AC buses available at Anand Vihar to Haridwar and Rishikesh. Check time table at upsrtc.com and can book online also.
I'll search your suggestions ...
then give feedback
Thank you all

check your facts....rsrtc has buses ex jaipur via del to haridwar and shimla as well....... Right. But these are not through Bikaner house, but through ISBT.
There are AC Volvo Buses from Anand Vihar Bus Station which charges INR 385 from Delhi to Haridwar. If you are 4-5 persons then hiring a cab is also a better option. It shall cost you approx INR 4000 from Airport to Haridwar.

Vikas - this is helpful. Are these private buses? Is there an online booking system?
Also, is it raining in the uttarakhand hills ex-haridwar say Tungnath / Chopta area?
Vaibhav,
These are Uttarakhand and UP Government undertaken buses. Uttarakhand Buses are blue in colour and are new (launched in Aug 2011). It is comfortable also. First Uttarakhand Bus leaves Haridwar around 11:00 am in the morning and for return from Haridwar it is 23:00 hrs. Beside that normal government buses are every 30 minutes. I would suggest NEVER take private bus from New Delhi as it has no rules of price and will leave only when there are x number of passengers whereas government undertaken buses will leave even when there are 7-10 passengers.
