Hi Friends,

I have Zen Estilo and CNG kit fitted into the car. There is no space for luggage due to CNG kit.
I am planning to visit Mount Abu and Udaypur from Surat. I want to fit carrier on my zen for this trip. However I am not sure if it is allowed in India. Can someone guide?
1. Is carrier allowed in Private Cars in India?
2. Different state have different rules for carrier (specially Gujarat and Rajasthan)?
3. If someone has link of RTO Rules for carrier. please post.

Thanks in Advance.

Since you have not received any response on your query, I wish to inform you that in Madhya Pradesh it is permitted to get a carrier fitted on the roof of a private car.
And it seems it is universal rule applicable all over India. That means, you may get the carrier fitted on your car.
Further, you may google to get the link(s) of RTO Rules for carrier!
Even the accessory store could guide you about the applicable rules.

Thanks Prakaant for Reply.

I went to Surat RTO and asked officer there. He said it is permitted and you don't need any specific licence for it.
