Quiet place for New Year's Eve - From the South up until Goa
Hello everybody,
We are planning to be in the South at around New Year's eve. Could anyone recommend me a quiet (i.e. not invaded by the beach party crowd) place that is within easy reach of Bombay (either by plane or train): - would Panjim be unbearably busy at that time of the year? I am not talking of the beaches. - how about Kochi? Or any other recommendation? We are open. Thanks for your help! With kind regards, Thierry Last edited by ThierryBxl : Mar 30th, 2007 at 14:52. |

Hi ThierryBxl,
Ratnagiri is located some 430 km from Mumbai, have daily trains, the best trains that i advise is train# 2051 jan shatabdi (do not run on wed) which departs at Dadar railway station in Mumbai at 5:30 am and reaches ratnagiri at 10:30 am. Ratnagiri is surrounded by sahyadri hills. Enjoy the country-side enroute on the konkan railway. good place to go and relax. Just for curiosity, why are you planning newyear eve so early, i believe you are planning for 2008 new year |
