pls advice on North East trip in India

Am leaving for a North East trip By road. Basically am from Hyderabad.Am with two of my other friends.We wiil be leaving tomorrow from hyderabad,AP.

Please give all your suggestions n tips

Let me know all the details regarding accomodation n food.

All the beautiful places in North east.

Also safety concerns on the way.and how safe is it to drive in the nights.

Any terrorist attacks or anyother issues...

Can we enter Nepal or Bhutan in our car?

During my sales management days a few years back, I did a fair bit of travelling in the North East.
Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram were back then places that you wouldn't want to travel around extensively in for security reasons.
Assam and Meghalaya were a mixed bag - very unsafe in some parts (recall Karbi Anglong). Shillong was trouble free.

Tripura appeared safer, at least Agartala. Wouldn't know about the fringe areas. Arunachal was too thinly populated to be unsafe, and Sikkim of course was perfectly safe.

But if you're sticking to the highways, I don't think there will be any problem.

Of course, I realise that you haven't clarified what you mean by
North East.

We want to travel all over North east.Hydearabad to North east Border.

Earlier i have been to other borders but missed MIZORAM , TRIPURA, ARUNACHAL PRADESH, NAGALAND,an rest in North east.

Am very much concerned about safety also
