planning a trip to coorg

Hi,

My husband and I are planning on a short holiday for about 3 days and have decided on coorg.

1. Where could we stay in coorg (budget homestays or hotels)
2. How to get there from bangalore?
3. What are the must see places there
4. Is end of december a good time to visit Coorg?
5. Are there any other places near bangalore for a short holiday in the hills?

thereis lot to see in coorg. you can get the info on the net. you can get deluxe and ac buses to madikeri [ coorg ] from bangalore and you can book the hotels on the internet. you cant get home stays in coorg. not much of them in coorg. but all the hotels are very cheap. in coorg you can hire a to view the surroundings and bahagamandala. from coorg you also can visit kushalnagar a buddhist place if you are interested

we stayed at rainforest retreat and liked the place,but its costly.

places to see:
1)dubare elephant camp
2)tibetian monastery(must watch place)
3)brahmandala(confluence of rivers )
4)thalacauvery(pilgrimage site)
5)raja seat (a garden)
6)omkareshwara temple
7)abbey falls
if you can , take a taxi to nagarhole national park and irrupu falls.
