Plan to see Himalayas
Hi Indimikers
I thought that I will go to Srinagar but I will not go to Srinagar. I do not feel ok to go there and if I do not feel ok to go there it is not a point to go there. I thought there is not monsoon and I will see nice nature, Himalayas. I would like to have 15 days to see Himalayas. I would like peaceful place and with nice weather during summer.
Please any suggestion are welcome.

Ivana, there are many places in Himachal and Uttarakhand that you can visit, apart from great north east...first zero down on the state.

Gotta grin at that one... still Ivana hasn't told which dates, and whether 15 days constitutes the whole or a part of this adventure... early July 'rainfall' in the Himalayas is a lovely time to be here. maybe if I think about it end of June and start of July.

I am in the UK, where I should book flight. I know that I have to book Delhi but after should I fly Manali or CHandigarh? Or any other suggestion.

IMHO. it's best to fly to Leh from Delhi then acclimatise for first few days in Leh at 11-12000ft,then go overland to Manali. The other alternative is to take a bus from Delhi to Manali,then head up to Keylong at 10,000ft where you would need to spend a couple or 3 days acclimatising before going over the 16500-17500 ft passes.
You will love Leh Ivana, right up your Spiritual street!
KK thanks KK, but what if I come to LEH which is 3500 above see and I will not OK? I understood that to go there from Manali I have to go over 5000m (sorry I use metres). I am not sure what is best for me if I could take holiday just 15-16 days
