Places to visit in India in mid of July

Hi all.
I am not sure if this is the correct place for this post. Pardon me if I made a mistake.
I would like to know what are the best places to visit in India between mid of July to the end of july.
I would prefer more of scenic beauty rather than historical places. The place should have beautiful nature and lots of beauty to be captured in a dg cam.
Please suggest what place is best to be in for a vacation of nearly 10 days.

Thanks and Regards,
Learner.

For a combination of natural beauty and no rain in July go to Spiti or Ladakh.

There are lots of other beautiful places, of course, but in July they will be either too hot or too wet. Or both.

Thanks for a quick reply.
Can you tell me in how many days Ladhak can be covered in?
Also how is sikkim for nature lovers? Is the rainfall heavy in sikkim and nearby areas? And how many days can sikkim be covered in?
Any other option in the eastern india which is full of beauty?

What do you mean by 'covered'? It really depends what you want to do. I spent nearly two weeks in Ladakh a few years ago and enjoyed every minute. Some people spend a lot more than just a fortnight in Ladakh. Yet other people get bored easily and prefer to rush through places. To me, 10 days sounds good. To others, it may sound far too much.

How safe is ladakh to visit in JUly?
Also I've read that people face breathing problems there. My parents are also accompanying in the trip, I hope they'll not face these problems in there. Please give an insight into this issue.

Safe in what respect? Criminals? Weather? Health?
As for criminals, Ladakh is possibly the safest region in India. Regarding the weather, I told you that normally in July the weather is good. Daytime temperatures of about 25°C, cooler at night. Hardly any rain, if at all.

Health? Breathing problems? Well, Leh is at 3500m, which can be difficult for some people, especially if they are coming straight from the plains and especially if they don't take it easy for the first one or two days. Lots of info on this subject here on IndiaMike. Search for Ladakh and AMS. Seach also the Health and Wellbeing forum.

I don't know how old your parents are and whether they are healthy but I do know a lot of people in their sixties and seventies who are perfectly fit and travel the whole world, even backpacking and sleeping in tents.
