Pl help- Bangalore->Wayanad(Mananthavadi, Kalpetta, Sulthan Battery)->Ooty->Ban

Please help me to make this tour.
We want to travel by our own car. The schedule is like this one
Starting from Bnagalore 23rd January 2010 Early Morning. Target to touch Kerala border by 8-9AM
23rd and 24th January at Waynand
Starting for Ooty on 25th January
Start back journey on 26 January
So please help me to make my trip wonderful by taking following points:-
1. What is the best route (keep in mind the on route sight seeing)
Bangalore - Mysore - Hunsur- Nagarhole - Kutta – Mananthavadi – Kalpetta
(Wayanad)
Or
Mysore - HD Kote - Bavali – Mananthavadi- Kalpetta ( Wayanad)
I am not considering Bangalore - Mysore - Gundulpet - Munthanga - Sulthan Battery
as we have to go to Ooty on 3rd day.
2. On route whether we have to stay one day each (we have total two days, so have to select only two cities from these three) at Manathavadi or Kalpetta or Sulthan Battery.
3. What are the sight seeing places near to these cities.
4. In which way we will cover more places
5. Which hotels are cheap (we want only basic facilities)
6. How many kilometer is Ooty and how much time needed to reach there.
7. When we have to start from Ooty on 26th January so that we can pass jungle before closing the gates.

If the final destination is OOTY, then staying for night at Bandipur seems the most logical thing to do.
Manathvadi is on a different route altogether, whereas Kalpetta can be reached on the Bandipur route. However, if you want to go via Mananthvadi, you can consider spending a night in one of the Kabini lodges, like Jungle lodge or something else.

I think you are trying to pack too much into too little time.

Most places around Wayanad are not near by to see. If you are staying in Kalapet, each of the sightseeing opportunities is in a different direction.

Also, on 25th and 26th you will only be on the road...Are you sure you will be to enjoy it ?

My suggestion would be for you to pick and choose one of these places and enjoy your trip in a more relaxed manner.

BTW, I dont know if your group has any kids. And if there, there is a good chance that they will not enjoy this quantum of travelling at all.
