Our second visit..
We leave New Zealand early March. Singapore/Kathmandu fly to Varansi/ fly to Agra - Jaipur by car - we want a couple of weeks in Rajasthan - Dehli for a couple of days - Shimla, Daramashala, Amritsar and back to Singapore.
Alternately we can do the opposite and leave via Varanasi. Last time we were in India we didn't get there until mid-May so it was a bit too hot and unfortunately we can't go before March. Any suggestions? Thanks Bigjed |

How long do you have?
What advice specifically would you like? Whether to fly out of Varanasi? I think this way round sounds fine. Last edited by karuna : Oct 24th, 2007 at 18:02. Reason: talking nonsense |

Since you are visiting in March you will have very good weather in Rajasthan. Do the Rajasthan circuit and Agra. Move to the north and then finally to Varanasi and fly out.

We are trying to avoid Delhi until we have to. I'd rather only go to Delhi once during this trip. We'll spend two or three days there though. Thanks will double check on flights. |

No need, I'm talking nonsense. It's the other way (Agra- Varanasi) where I had trouble. Just ignore me, I have a cold.

cheers. I can't wait to get back to India - it will make all the difference going a month earlier than we did in 2006. I think attacking India from Nepal and ending in either Delhi or Amritsar would be the go. We loved Himichal last time and if we only see Shimla and Dharmashala that will be enough.

In case you are suppose to visit Amritsar, do not forget to visit the Grand Golden Temple....simply marvelous and very peaceful.
