Oops! Bhubaneswar-Hyderabad: Best connection?

I was originally scheduled on Kingfisher from Delhi to Bubaneshwar then, four days later, to Hyderabad (for continuing flights to Chennai and Madurai).

Kingfisher no longer flies Delhi-Bubaneshwar; and it goes from Bubaneshwar to Hyderabad by way of Mumbai and Sri Lanka(!).

The best I've been able to figure out is:

1) Cut my stay in Bubaneshwar by one day;

2) Take the 0600-1250 Shatabdi to Kolkata and spend the night in that city; and

3) fly Jet Airways to Hyderabad (where I connect with a Jet flight to Chennai, then another to Madurai).

I really don't want to change the Jet flights, beginning in Hyderabad.

If, however, anyone has an idea of a better way to get from Bubaneshwar to Hyderabad, I'd surely welcome the advice.

You're not having a lot of luck with flights Ned.

I'm not at home and don't have time to search the web, but I think Air Deccan fly Bhubaneswar-Vishakhapatnam, and Vishakhapatnam-Hyderabad, I may be wrong though, but I'm sure both these sectors have flights.

Is an overnight train, then a flight an option?
(nothing in mind, but I thinks there would be a connection somewhere.)

Air Deccan has a flight, BBI-HYD, that meshes perfectly with my schedule. That flight didn't show up on a couple of travel sites I visited. It did on AD's own site. I've tried booking it there without success. (It asks for a PIN, which I assume is not my debit/credit card PIN). Perhaps I'll wait till I'm in Delhi, at Indira Gandhi Domestic, and try to book at the AD desk or counter.

I'm really looking forward to my month: Bhubaneshwar/Puri/Konark, Madurai, Aurangabad/Ellora/Ajanta, Udaipur/Ranakpur, and Old Delhi.
