I'll be travelling to Katra in the first week of Dec 06 & then down to Amritsar from Katra. Colud anyone pleas tell me how much a cab from Jammu airport to Country Inn resots(1.5km before Katra) cost?
How long would it take from Katra to Amritsar by road if I start early in the morn & what would be the approximate cost for a Qualis/Innova? Please recco some good places to stay in Amritsar. I've heard the food is great there - please recco some good restaurants. thanx in advance

Rs 150 from Katra to Country Inn, as it is located outside the town and the cabbies will act difficult and refuse to take you at first.

Its a distance of of 45 km from Jammu to Katra and they charge on a per km basis. Hire a cab from the Tourist Taxi Association office on Vir Marg, at the Tourist reception center. You'll get the offical rates there and won't be ripped off.
The TRC is close to Raghunath Mandir, which you might like to visit as well.
