too quick
if you must go to all those places on such a short trip, don't waste time on a train, especially overnight, as you wouldn't even be seeing the fantastic scenery. best to make some time to get some day trips out of the cities.

I would stick to delhi agra jaipur udaipur and forget about the rest. You might even be able to appreciate your visit then...

For the Delhi Agra Jaipur leg I would hire a car if I were you. Flying such short distances is a hassle and you do not get to see much, except airports and taxis and hotels. Do not go to luxury hotels, if you can stay away from them, except perhaps a palace hotel in Udaipur. Stay inside the walls in Jaipur, for instance in the LMB Hotel on Johari Bazar. That way you get a feel of the town, which is one of the most beautiful towns in India. Go visit the Govinda Temple in the royal garden early morning in Jaipur. It is a marvel of an experience to see the devotion and the beauty of the worship going on there. Watch out for the low quality food in luxury hotels. Eat only in busy popular places. That you mention Bhopal makes it sound like you are on a business trip. Who on earth would go to Bhopal on a leisure trip, unless you want to visit the victims of the Union Carbide disaster, still suffering there without financial assistance from anyone. |

it would be great to see the country and also have a decent seat if it's a short trip (less than 5 hrs)
