Hi Ild,
Greetings for the day,
extremely glad to know about your plan to visit Uttarakhand,, Its Not clear when yo want to go to this place... but yes 10 days you would always have a gud option to explore the extremest at Uttarakhand,,,
you have two options either you can travel towards Kumaun division or Garwal division.. Garwal you can get Kedarnath or Badrinath... gangotri or Yamunotri..
or you can travel Nainital..... Almora......Choukri..........M unsyari........... Dharchula............. Narayan Ashram.......... Champawat.....
Apart from this you can plan even for Leh... but its Monsoon at I would nt prefer to travel that much.. its gud in September...
Irtenary for Uttarakhand....
Day 1 Pune- Delhi(Flight)Prefer an evening flight as Train moves from Old Delhi at 10:45 PM- Kathgodam( Ranikhet Express) Train No. 5013. (Reach Kathgodam 5:30)
Day 2 Kathgodam - Bhimtal {( stay at Bhimtal at KMVN RestHouse) its around 30 min run from Kathgodam Railway station so can freshne up at Bhimtal}(5Kms - Naukuchyatal- (25Kms)Nainital- Bhimtal(20Kms). Why I advised you to stay at Bhimtal because its cheaper than Nainital and is much Silent than Nainital,,, you can enjoy Nainital during the day and come back to your Hotel at Bhimtal..but you can also go straight to Nainital from Kathgodam also
Day 3 Bhimtal - Bhowali- Ramgarh- Almora (Going via Ramgarh is around 15 kms extra but you will get rich fruits duriing this time of the year.. but a box of Farm Fresh Apple and keep it for the rest of the trip.. Almora- Berinaag or Choukri(110-120 Kms)
Day 4 Berinaag - Munsyari via KalaMuni.... ( stay at Kalamuni for 2 hrs its really an enchanting experience..
Day 5 Munsyari-- Local sight seeing.. ( There are two lakes at Munsyari named Thamri Kund and Mesar Taal, Very few people are aware of this place but Local know abt it.do visit them...they are awesome..)
Day 6 Munsyari- Dharchula Via Madkot...(Dharchula is the Indian Nepal Border) enjoy staying at Dharchula and visit the Nepalese Market...
Day 7 Dharchula - Narayan Ashram(there is a Ashram here and they may or may not chanrge you for stay depending upon the situation. but you are not at all allowed to smoke or drink here.. you will get only satvik food inside the as ashram but you can ask local hotel wallas to prepare something if you need.
Day 8 stay here or incase you wanna leave, leave around 12 Noon. reach Dharchula - Pithoragarh ( dharchula - pithoragarh (65 kms))
Day 9 Pithoragarh- Jageshwar - Almora
Day 10 Almora - kathgodam- Delhi
This is what preferrable a gud route which can be dont with friendds.,,,

Sandeep
