National Parks, Rajasthan, Orccha etc. ..advice sought!

Soo much to see in India, how do you decide? We are planning a trip to India sometime between March and May of 2009. It will probably will be able to go for 3 to 4 weeks. We are going in and out of Delhi, so not interested in southern stops for this trip. The main emphasis is on wildlife, but want to see other memorable sites, also. After reading some of the postings from this and other websites, the time to see animals and especially tigers is after March 15th, when they come out looking for water, but we wouldn't mind specific recommendations regarding the time of year. We're from Florida, so we don't mind it warm, but not 115 degrees every day. The following is a list of both parks and towns that have caught my eye. I need to know what is practical and not too repetitive and manageable in 3 to 4 weeks. So here goes, the parks we are interested in are Corbett (inside the park)-2 nights, Bandhavgarh (3nts), Kanha(3nts), Pench(2nts) and Kazaringa (3nts). The cities and towns are Delhi, Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Jodhpur,Jaiselmer, Agra, Khajuraho, Orchha. Also, need help with places to stay in each park and want to stay in as many heritage places as possible (budget between $100 and $200/nt for the two of us, realizing that some of the game stays may excede our budget. We are looking for real value for the money spent. I have also been looking at sawdays for heritage accommodations. He seems to know value. Thanks in advance for all your recommendations. Also, we realize to do as much as possible, we may need a car and driver, but we don't want to kill ourselves, so please advise as to what we should keep and drop and how much time in each place. Thanks again

Narob - Welcome to India Mike!
For your hotels, check out Hotels listing above on the red bar - some of the recommendations there are heritage properties. You have a reasonable time frame for doing much of what you have listed - what I would suggest though is you head west in Rajasthan at the beginning of your holiday to visit before it becomes too hot. Plan out a circular tour with a map, then do a rough idea of place stop, no. of days, then see if it will fit in time frame. Keep in mind you do not want to rush from one place to another - too exhausting.

You can find heritage hotels in most these places. If time is tight maybe consider just doing one of Pushkar or Udaipur, and maybe sacking of Agra (unless you really really want to take that photo). Book Corbett soon as organising a stay at Dhikala can be hard work (there are other threads on this). Orchha is a lovely place to unwind. Good luck!

Narob - I've changed your title so that it will attract answers from members who know these areas. Also take a look in the Rajasthan Forum - threads there re Udaipur or Pushkar, also comments re Pushkar etc.
