Nanda Devi or Kanchenjunga?
I've been exploring lately in this group - a visit to Kumaon to go see Nanda Devi and other mountains around it. Being the devil's advocate... :-) I am now also pondering... and asking the question to those who know:
which of the two is more "fulfilling" (define that word as you wish) : - a view of Nanda Devi? or... - a view of Kanchenjunga? assumptions: - trip to be made in either (1) end of may or (2) early july - viewing destination can be reached within say 18 hours from New Delhi - planes, trains, automobiles. probably no major hiking. - the viewing destination is NOT touristy but is low-key as in the classic IM fashion :-) Would love to hear your opinions!

In July, monsoon will be so heavy in Sikkim or Darjeeling that it is unlikely you'll see Kangchenjunga.
