Mysore Wayanad by bus???

Hi!
Do you know if it is possible reach Wayanad ( i think Kalpetta would be good...) from Mysore by bus???

There is a web site with bus route and time????

Hi Celesre, Welcome to IM

From Mysore, few buses are available to Kalpetta. You could check the same in www.ksrtc.in

But not sure about your plan (Whether you have a Package with any of the high-end resorts in Kalpetta) but hiring a taxi from mysore is another / better way to explore wayanad as every tourist spot like (Muthanga WLS OR Wayanad WLS Or Pookot Lake Or Kuruvadweep Or Tholpetty WLS OR thirunelly temple or Soochipara waterfalls is spread across the district ) and hence public transportation may not be of much use in exploring wayanad.

I did extensive travel Across wayanad in my Car and the places are awesome!

Yes, very much possible. Where in Wynad do you want to go?
From Mysore, buses run to Kozhikode via Sulthan Battery & Kalpetta. There are buses to Mananthavady via Tholpetty as well. The ksrtc.in timetable is not complete as it does not include the Kerala SRTC bus schedule. Buses start from the southern end of the KSRTC bus station in Mysore.

Buses are available. But if you are going there as tourist, then all the tourists spots are very far off and you will save lots of time if you have ur own transport. IF you are intrested in some sort of a trek, you should not miss Chembra peak. Its really a fantastic trek. Also, you should visit Edkal..(not sure of the spelling)..apart from other popular places pmvelu has mentioned.

I'd like leave from Mysore in the early morning by bus and reach Kalpetta... and from Kalpetta, maybe with a taxi if it is possible, visit the several tourist place.
But i have to leave from Mysore! If you can suggest me an other tour to visit Wayanad tell me!!!!!!if for example there are stops to do by bus leaving from mysore....

Yeah, celesre , I remember there is an early morning bus to Kalpetta which will take about 3-4 hours. Any bus to Calicut goes thru' Kalpetta. In Kalpetta public transport doen't cover all touristy places. Ideal to hire a taxi.

And yes, dont forget to visit Edakkal, like Manzey mentioned. It is a cave with prehistoric rock paintings. It is also a good trek up, but now, I am told hired jeeps go all the way up to almost the entrance of the cave. Happy exploring !
