Mysore to Goa

My wife and I are going to Bangalore the third week in April. I am on business but will have a few days after to see some areas. We are interested in visiting Mysore for a day and then going from Mysore to Goa, spend one more day, and then return to Bangalore. We are interested in seeing some of the countryside on the journey so we would rather not fly. We are pretty open on our daily budget but not to the point I want a car and driver. Would prefer top class in bus and train options. Is this possible to do in a short time?

Two thoughts.

One, this would be an ideal trip via Hampi.

Two, you probably need more time.

If I take moe time, what is the best travel method?

Not an expert, but I suspect trains would be the way to go.

Hi I have somewhat same plan but in Aug, my wife, I and my 17yr son will be Bangalore for 5day, is it reasonable to take train BLR to cochin and back during that time or should I hang around bangalore any advice will be greatly appreciated

Take the Shatabdi Express from Mysore at 14:20 to reach Bangalore in less than 2 hours. Bangalore to Goa is a 15 hour journey on the weekly 7311 express that departs at 21:30 on Fridays.
