Mid-April to June: suggested cooler regions in the South?

Hi. This is related to an earlier post I made. Am going to be flying out to Mumbai next week for a 7-week trip. Couple days in Mumbai then heading south to Kerala.

I realise that this is a HOT time of year, so was hoping for some tips on some cooler (higher altitude?) regions to pass through on the way.

Any ideas?

The usual suspects: Ooty, Kodaikanal and Munnar.

Will be crowded as hell though one could always find a more peaceful place a few kilometers away from ooty..... Lovedale or even beyond.

You can also head south from Munnar to Kumali where Periyar is located.
