Post Manali and Auli, A quick tour, is it too quick?

Hi,

I am travelling to Himachal for the first time and am seeking advice/guidence from experienced/experts on my itenrary.

I am starting my Journey from Pune on April 30

Day 1 (April 30, 2008): Take a Kingfisher 11.30am flight from Pune to Delhi. Catch Volvo from Delhi at 6.00pm

Day 2 (May 01): Reach Manali early in the morning, check in at Hotel (Holiday Inn). I have booked a car to move around in Manali, will move around (Please suggest places to visit)

Day 3 (May 02): Entire day at Rohtang Pass

Day 4 (May 03) : Car journey to Pathankot, leaving Manali at 5.00am, reaching Pathankot by 3.00pm, catch Train to Amritsar(IInd AC) at 4.25 to reach Amritsar by 6.30. Visit Glden Temple and catch train (Train No 4632 Train Name ASR DDN EXPRESS) to Haridwar at 11.00 in the night.

Day 5 (May 04) : Reach haridwar at 7:30am. Hire a car to Joshimath (Is there any good Bus service known to someone?)
Stay at Joshimath in the night. (Any suggession on where to stay? with contact details if possible)

Day 6 (May 05) : Catch a cable car at around 10 to reach Auli where I have boked a room a t Cliftop Club. )Will I get to see know there?)

Day 7 (May 6) : Leave Auli at around 10am, reach Joshimath and start journey to Haridwar. Catch a train (4042 Massorie Exp)at 11.00pm to Delhi

Day 8 (May 7) : Reach Delhi by 7.30 am, roam around and catch Rajdhani express at 4.30 pm to Mumbai

Day 9 (May 8) : Take a volvo to Pune.

I know I am moving little too fast , Objective is to check out Auli for next long trip there. I am trying to make jouney comfortable by spending on AC !st Class tains.

Any ideas and suggessions welcome. Thanks for that in advance.

Sanjay

You won't see snow anywhere near Clifftop. You will have to climb a really long way up to get snow in this season, if at all it is there.

Ofcourse it is superfast journey, since you already know it, there isn't much else to say
