Leh-Kargil-Srinagar

Hi.I'm malaysian student studying in mysore. I'm planning to go to ladakh and srinagar on 22 to 29 october. How about the weather? Is it ok? Can anyone give comment on my itinerary. We'll be going there by flight to leh, then return flight from srinagar.


22 Oct Arrive Leh and transfer to hotel + Visit Shanti Stupa + Shankar
Gompa + Leh market
23 Oct In Leh ( Explore Shey + Thikse + Hemis monastery + Leh Palace )
24 Oct In Leh ( Day excursion to Pangong lake ) << I love this place since I watched it in 3idiots.
25 Oct Drive to Kargil via Alchi - Lamayuru
26 Oct Drive to Srinagar via D Zozila Pass / Sonamarg
27 Oct In Srinagar ( Full day city tour )
28 Oct Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar
29 Oct Transfer to airport.

This is the only period that I manage to get long holiday and I don wanna waste it by travelling to other places. please help me

And i realised, the flight ticket to leh and srinagar quiet expensive. Is it because of Eid bakrid?

Skip the 1 day trip to Pangong Tso. Not worth if you have just a day. Have you heard about mountain sickness, I doubt. Please read the sticky threads in the ladakh and Zanskar section.

My suggestion is either focus on leh and around or Srinagar. Trying to do both is gonna be a little crazy.

26 Oct Drive to Srinagar via D Zozila Pass / Sonamarg

The Zozila pass may be closed by that time if it snows early.
Book your return tickets from Leh instead of Srinagar to be on the safe side.

You certainly can visit Pangong as you would have already spent 2 nights in Leh for the acclimatization. Can also visit the Nubra Valley, but it would be a 2D/1N trip.
