Leaving in May for 4-12weeks. Where would you go?

Hi All,
If you were going to India Sometime in May where would you go/ had a good experience around this time of year. I'm planning to go for 4-12 weeks. I've been to Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Goa. I generally enjoy myself wherever I go, the only thing I don't like is High humidity and too much rain. Cold and sun both appeal.
Anyone gone around this time of year?
I've searched back through the previous posts ( back to FEB) but still looking for my inspiration.
I've never been further North than Mumbai, but from what I've read so far if the weather is too hot in a place head for the hills.
Anyway...
Where would you go?

4-12 weeks from may....

I would do the following -

delhi-shimla-kinnaur-spiti-lahaul-manali-ladakh-kashmir-delhi

this is my dream tour
