Leaving in 12 hours - any last advice?

Headed out for my first trip - 2 weeks in Mumbai, Manali/Shimla, and Delhi/Agra. Any last minute advice?

Being a sucker for any trip deep in the Himalayas, I'd have said skip Delhi /Agra and continue on to Leh from Manali

The Taj Mahal is brilliant and all that, but I wonder how would one appreciate the beauty in the crazy heat and dust of May

Bring an umbrella. It's been raining in Delhi for days and days and it's like UK rain wet

I'll have to agree with Abhi, Agra and Delhi will be hot. Also agree with Kate, an umbrella would be good.

Personally I would advise you to get above 1500m and enjoy the cooler air.

Only advice is take it easy when you first get there. Take naps

You've got a good trip planned by limiting your itinerary and getting into the mountains. Don't miss Fatipur Sikri when you go to Agra to see the Taj. It's almost always part of any Agra trip and it's well worth it.

Have a great time & get back to us when you return. We like to hear peoples India stories!

Take a pair of thick socks for use at Agra. When your bare feet hit the marble, you may find it too hot without some for of covering (hence the socks).

When you finish, if you won't want to keep them, find a suitable recipient nearby.

Cheers
