Last minute advice please!

Hi all. I'm off to south India on Saturday (tomorrow) for 3.5weeks. At the moment I have an Air Deccan flight to Goa from Mumbai and planned to do a loop around Hampi - Bangalore - Madurai - Kanniyakumari - Cochin and then back to Goa and home.

Having looked at the weather forecast, things look a bit bleak in the west and around Hampi/Bangalore for the next week or more.

Who reckons I should just ditch the flight to Goa and buy a ticket to Chennai and start my route there? It's sunny in Tamil Nadu, and I can still cover all the ground i need. Air Deccan have tickets at 2000 rupees all in.

I land about 1030am in Mumbai, the flight to Chennai is 1300. Can I make it? How long does it take to clear immigration and transfer etc?

We are waiting for our monsoon to start. With any luck (water desparately needed, else nothing will be coming out of Chennai's taps next summer) it could be very wet indeed here in three week's time.

And even if it satys stubbornly dry in Chennai the rest of TN should get rain.

Ha ha... looks like I should come and get the sunshine while it lasts. Maybe by the time I head west the good weather will have hit the rest of the south!

gaffer the only adv if u start at chennai is tht u would end in goa somtiem nov ...with christmas and newyear round the corner partying will get better then...otherwise the weather would be pretty much the same whichever way u decide to make the trip

My sincere advice...get on with your plan. A little ore more rain should not dampen things for you.
