There's nothing IM can do about delayed flights, upset tummies or being too busy to see anything....

I did take alot of advice from here, but **** happens anyway. All the advice in the world wouldn't have made a bit of difference.

The ONLY thing I can be happy about is that I didn't get any GI issues while I was there - sore throat, fever, bruises, scrapes, bumps, bug bites, etc. but no upset stomach. LOL

I was telling Shashank, Steven, and Barbara that I think I was just due for a bad trip, too bad it had to be this one. I really had a great time Friday at the meet up and it definitely colored my view - still don't want to go back to India but I'm not completely ruling it out anymore. LOL

Steven, thanks for the compliments. Despite it all, I had a great time Saturday. You were alot of fun and very interesting. The train was definitely an experience and I loved walking around looking for the ghats even though we never found them. Thanks for strategically holding your book to shield my offensive boobs from stares.

My trip home was very uneventful. The flight actually left on time, there was smooth sailing the whole way - I didn't even realize that it was a 16 hour flight. I slept, watched a few movies, read, relaxed. We landed this morning at 5:45 am and I was home by 7:15. The only hitch was that customs decided to search my bags, which took 20 minutes - can't blame that on India though.

Yes, so we ended up standing next to the TOILET!

Just wanted to clarify that we didn't buy drugs or ask for drugs, the driver took it upon himself to go get a couple of joints and then try to get Steven to get some too.

I really feel different. Between the fun I had at the meetup and the adventure with Steven, I managed to take away some good memories.

I am very much a "F*** it! S*** happens! Roll with the punches - it's all part of the ride!" kind of person - especially when travelling - so it surprised me and everyone who knows me that India broke me like that.

I've got to stop coming back to IM because now I want to go back and conquer India because I feel like she made me her B****. LOL

told him straight off that I wasn't going to and that I really didn't care about the local crafts so don't bother.
What really needed to be done in the first place..
