I went with Gulfair last time, they were brilliant. What is this Jet Airways like? I just priced up a trip and they are nice and cheap, but what is their safety record like, service that sort of thing. Thanks

I've flown them within India, and they were great. The planes seemed new, were very clean, and the staff very professional. I'd imagine their international service would be pretty good. I am actually eager to try it myself.

Jet Airways is rated as one of the best private airlines in India that does not mean that you are going to get service like Singapore Airlines, but it is the best that the private sector can offer. Checkout these review http://www.mouthshut.com/product-rev...925004268.html

I guess all airlines would have a decent enough safety record to stay in Air.

They'd soon loose it if they didn't stay in the air!

Wasn't Jet the first of the independent domestics: I seem to remember, long ago, the choice being India Air, or Jet.

I really like Jet airways. Fly them a couple of times a year and am yet to have a bad experience with them. They are expensive so if the holiday is on a budget then one needs to consider cheaper airlines.

We were flying Pune - Delhi sometime back on Jetlite which eventually got canceled and we were endorsed on to a Jet Airways flight instead - automatically..there were no frantic calls from us to them.

They are pretty much on time , arrival and departure. Good customer service and cabin crew.

After having flown all domestic airlines, it comes down to 2 : Jet and Kingfisher
They charge you more than others, but their services justify it all.....
PS: bootyfull air hostesses in Kingfisher :P

@OP,

If you found Gulf Air, brilliant, you'll love Jet Airways. You'll get to fly a brand new B777-300ER or an Airbus 330-200.

Jet Airways's had an accident free record since it commenced operations in 1993.

It was Damania Airways. It was later taken over over by NEPC group and renamed NEPC Skylines.

btw, there was an airline called Dalmiya Airways back in the 1940s and early 1950s. All the smaller airlines were nationalized and merged to form "Indian Airlines Corporation" in 1951.

Jet Airways is the best. In fact they are the most sought after airine now for their inernational sectors - though they fly only to select destinations as of now.

Within India (domestic) they provide excellent connectivity .

Service is also good on both sectors.

I can recommend them from personal experience.

Flew them a few years back and I would fly them again. Excellent service and I swear that I have never seen lovelier flight attendants (female variety of course).
