Jammu & nearby trip places to see. Please help.

Hello all,

I am planning to visit Jammu on 15th July 2010 ..I have total 5-6 days to spend & roam around, I will be landing in Jammu from Mumbai early morning...

I will be spending that day seeing places in Jammu & visiting some frnds of mine. Next day afternoon onwards ill be free to move.

I want to see few things which I have heard a lot bout.

1) Vaishno devi
2) Srinagar
3) Gulmarg
4) Sonamarg
5) Pahalgam
6) Amritsar

Can you please help me plan this trip which places first to go out of the above & the best time to go & with places to see there.

Or pls advice if there are any good places apart from these.. I can change my trip plan as per.

Also please consider that ill have to get a flight/Train back to Mumbai, please let me know how do i plan this.

Pankaj, Vaishno Devi to Srinagar is approx 240 KM and you may visit Patnitop as well enroute.
For other parts

Day 1 Jammu
Day 2 Jammu - Patnitop - Srinagar
Day 3 Srinagar – Sonmarg (around 84 Kms or 03 Hrs.)
Day 4 Sonmarg – Gulmarg (around 139 Kms or 05 Hrs.)
Day 6 Gulmarg – Pahalgam (around 149 Kms or 05 Hrs.)
Day 7 Pahalgam - Srinagar (around 103 Kms or 03 Hrs.)
Day 8 Srinagar - Mumbai

Armritsar would be far and would require much more time...

Wasn't there a post on what to see around Jammu? It seemed to disprove my better half's poor opinion of it (as Kashmiri)..
